คำว่าห้องพักในบ้านหมายถึงห้องที่เจ้าของบ้านจัดให้ผู้อื่นเข้ามาเช่าพักอาศัย ค้างคืนอยู่ใต้หลังคาเดียวกัน ห้องที่จัดให้ มีความสบาย สะอาด โดยมากค่าที่พักจะรวมถึงอาหารเช้าด้วย ห้องพักในบ้านแบบนี้นำแบบอย่างมาจากอังกฤษที่เราเรียกกันว่า Bed and Breakfast หรือฝรั่งเศส เรียกกันว่า La Chambre d’hôtes

อ่านจากการให้สัมภาษณ์หนังสือแมกกาซีนฝรั่งเศสฉบับหนึ่งถึงสาเหตุ ความพอใจ และรายได้จากการที่ทำห้องพักในบ้านให้เช่าแบบนี้ เจ้าของห้องพักในบ้านหลายคนที่เป็นชาวฝรั่งเศสบอกว่าพอใจถึงแม้จะเหนื่อย มากๆ เพราะเขาได้อยู่กับธรรมชาติ ได้พบปะพูดคุยกับผู้คนที่น่ารัก ได้สร้างมิตรภาพ สัมพันธภาพกับเพื่อนทุกชาติทุกภาษา เรื่องรายได้คงจะไม่มีทางรวยจากกิจการนี้ ถ้าจะหารายได้จริงๆก็ต้องขายอาหารด้วย

ดิฉันได้ความคิดในการทำห้องพักในบ้านเย็นสบายส่วนหนึ่งจากบทความ ในแมกกาซีนฉบับนั้น เมื่อปีพ.ศ. 2547 ก่อนเกษียณอายุจากงานประจำ เพื่อนคนหนึ่งได้ชวนดิฉันและสามีมาเที่ยวเขาใหญ่ เราเห็นว่าอากาศดีมาก ทิวทัศน์สวยงาม ก็เลยขอให้เพื่อนหาที่เล็กๆให้สักแปลงหนึ่ง ในที่สุดเราก็ได้ที่แปลงนี้ แล้วเราก็ช่วยกันคิดว่าจะสร้างบ้านแบบไหนดี เราอยากมีหลายห้องนอนเผื่อพี่น้องและเพื่อน ดูเหมือนโลภมาก แต่เมื่อดิฉันได้อ่านบทความเรื่องห้องพักในบ้าน เราก็เลยตกลงกันว่าเราจะใช้บ้านนี้ทำห้องพักในบ้านด้วย อย่างน้อยก็ได้ช่วย ค่าใช้จ่ายบ้าง ที่บ้านเย็นสบายห้องพักที่เราจัดไว้ให้เช่า แต่ละห้องจะมีห้องน้ำส่วนตัว ที่นอนจะเป็นเตียงคู่แต่เป็นที่นอนแยก อาหารเช้าเป็นแบบง่ายๆ ขนมปัง ชา กาแฟ น้ำผลไม้ บ้านเย็นสบายไม่มีทีวีให้ดูทุกห้อง เรามีทีวีส่วนกลาง ในห้องนั่งเล่น เรามีห้องให้เช่า 4ห้อง ( แต่สามารถอยู่ใด้ราว 10-12 คน )ใม่ใช้เครื่องปรับอากาศ เพราะอากาศตอนกลางคืนเย็นสบายดีแล้ว และผู้มาพักน่าจะใด้นอนกับธรรมชาติที่บริสุทธิ์สดชื่น
เราอนุญาตให้ใช้ครัวของเราทำอาหารรับประทานเองใด้แต่ต้องไม่ทำของของเราเสียหาย ผู้เข้าพักน่าจะมีวัฒนธรรมและมีความเข้าใจพอสมควรที่จะรับผิดชอบในเข้าของที่เสียหาย
จะหวังว่าเพื่อนๆทุกคนคงมีความสุขที่บ้านเย็นสบาย

Mon nom est Porntip ARYA, le propriétaire de Yen Baan Sabai. Je voudrais présenter mon Yen Baan Sabai la Chambre d’hôtes avec petit déjeuner à Khao Yai. Nous offrons des chambres confortables et propres pour des invités passer la nuit. Dans la plupart des cas , le tarif de chambre inclut le petit déjeuner, embrassant ainsi le concept de Chambre avec petit déjeuner de l'Angleterre ou Chambre d'hôtes de la France.
Il y a quatre ans, avant la retraite de mon travail permanent à Air France, un de mes amis a invité moi et mon mari à visiter Khao Yai. L'air était si pur et le temps si le rafraîchissement que j'ai demandé à mon ami de me trouver un petit morceau de terrain là. Finalement, nous avons obtenu ce terrain et avons commencé à penser comment notre maison devrait être. Nous avons voulu avoir beaucoup de chambres pour nos parents et amis. Ayant étudié beaucoup d'articles de la chambre d’hôtes, nous avons consenti à utiliser cette maison comme la chambre d’hôtes aussi.
Baan Yen Sabai est une maison de deux étages de couleur de la-terre-rouge, situé sur une colline dominant la vallée vertes . Sa fusion entre l'architecture thaïe et européenne dispose d’ une atmosphère charmante, confortable et intime. Il y a en tout 5 chambres avec leur salle de bains privée propre et des lits de jumeau avec des futons séparés. Baan le Yen Sabai ne fournit pas de télévision dans chaque chambre. On fournit une télévision dans la salle commune. Le petit déjeuner est simplement du pain, le thé, le café et le fruit.

My name is Porntip ARYA, owner of Baan Yen Sabai. I would like to introduce my Baan Yen Sabai Bed and Breakfast at Khao Yai. We offer comfortable and clean rooms for guests to stay overnight. In most cases, the room rate includes breakfast, thus embracing the concept of Bed and Breakfast from England or La Chambre d’hôtes from France.
Four years ago, before retiring from my permanent job at Air France, one of my friends invited me and my husband to visit Khao Yai. The air was so pure and the weather so refreshing that I asked my friend to find me a small piece of land there. Eventually, we got this land plot and started to think about how our house should be. We wanted to have plenty of rooms for our relatives and friends. Having studied many articles on guest houses, we agreed to use this house as a guest house as well.
Baan Yen Sabai is a two-storey house in earth-red, located on a hill overlooking lush green mountains of the Khao Yai area. Its fusion between Thai and European architecture features a charming, cozy and homey atmosphere. There are altogether 5 rooms. All Baan Yen Sabai rooms come with their own private bathroom and twin beds with separated futons. Baan Yen Sabai does not provide a television in every room. A television is provided in the common room. Breakfast is simply bread, tea, coffee and fruit.

เพื่อที่จะไปบ้านเย็นสบายที่เขาใหญ่ ให้ขับรถขึ้นเหนือตามถนนพหลโยธินไปจนถึงสระบุรี แล้วไปทางถนนมิตรภาพมุ่งสู่นครราชสีมา ถึงประมาณกิโลเมตรที่ ๑๖๕ จะเห็นป้ายบอกทางไป "ปากช่อง - เขาใหญ่" ให้ออกจากถนนมิตรภาพขึ้นสะพานเลี้ยวขวาไปทางเขาใหญ่ (เข้าถนนธนะรัชต์) ขับต่อไปประมาณ ๒๐ กิโลเมตร จะถึงด่านเข้าอุทยานฯ ก่อนถึงด่าน ประมาณ ๒๐๐ เมตร มีทางเลี้ยวไปทางซ้าย (มีป้ายบอก ต. โป่งตาลอง คีรีมายา วังน้ำเขียวฯลฯ วัดมกุฏคีรีวันที่จะไปจะอยู่ห่างจากนี่ไปประมาณ ๒๓ กิโลเมตร) พอเลย คีรีมายา มาเล็กน้อย จะเห็นเสาอากาศ ๒ เสา ซึ่งเป็นจุดที่ต้องระวัง มีทางตรงไปได้แต่อย่าไป ให้เลี้ยวโค้งไปตามถนนทางขวา เข้าหมู่บ้านคลองเดื่อ จากนั้นจะถึงหมู่บ้านคลองดินดำ ตรงทางเข้าหมู่บ้านจะมีสะพานอยู่ทางขวา ขับต่อไปอีกผ่านChateau de khao Yai, Toscana Valleyจะถึงหมู่บ้านหนองจอก ทางขึ้นเนินเล็กน้อย ขับต่อมาอีกประมาณ ๒ กิโลเมตร จะเห็นบ้านหลังใหญ่ รูปทรงเหลี่ยม ๆ อยู่บนเนินทางขวา ขับเลยมาจะมีบ้านคนงานของบ้านใหญ่รั้วขาว เลยรั้วนั้นเตรียมเลี้ยวขวาเข้าถนนลาดยางมีรั้วคาวบอยขาวๆเขียนว่าสวน วี พี จะมีป้ายบอกเล็กสีแสดว่าบ้านเย็นสบาย ขับตามทางลาดยางไปจนสุด มีเลี้ยวขวานิดหนึ่ง แล้วเลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าถนนแดงลูกรัง เข้าไปจะมีซอยแรกขวามือ อย่าเลี้ยว
ขับต่อไปอีกไม่ถึง 100เมตร ตรงเสาไฟฟ้าที่ตรงข้ามกับต้นไม้เดี่ยวผอมสูงทางซ้ายมีซอยเลี้ยวขวาเข้าไป แล้วขับไปทางซ้ายจะเห็นบ้านหลังคาสีน้ำตาล ตัวบ้านสีอิฐ ตรงนั้นแหละค่ะ บ้านเย็นสบาย

How to go to Baan Yen Sabai

We are happy to welcome you at Baan Yensabai in Khao Yai.
To go there, I hope that you already have the plan.
Set off at first on Pahonyothin Road (no 1) northward to Saraburi. At the kilometre 106, take the Mitrapab Road (no. 2) toward Nakornrachsima (or Korat). There are two roads leading to the Khao Yai National Park. The simple one (via Tanarat Road) is to turn right (by using the flyover on your left) when you arrive at the kilometer 57 from Saraburi (or about 164 from Bangkok), the direction Khao Yai is indicated. I would rather advise you to take the shorter and more beautiful Kudkla Road. Please make a u-turn at the kilometre 36 from Saraburi (or about 143 from Bangkok) and immediately turn left after the u-turn (the Dairy Home restaurant is at the entrance of road). This road, of 24 kilometres, will bring you to Tanarat Road where you then turn right and continue for about 3 kilometres. This takes you to 200 m before the entrance of the Park where you turn left to enter Wang Nam Khiew road. After about 6 kilometres, you will go pass Kirimaya Hotel, the road turns a little bit to the right and to the left, a hundred of metres farther don’t go straight but follow the road to the right to enter Klong Deua village. Chateau de Khao Yai is situated at its exit. About 5.3 km from Kirimaya Hotel, you will enter Klong Din Dam village where you follow the same Wang Nam Khiew road to the right while crossing a bridge. After 4 bridges (including the one at the entrance of Klong Din Dam village and going pass the so-called Toscana Valley) you will arrive at Nong Chok village with a temple at the exit. Then the road turns towards the right and goes up a little hill. One km farther, the road goes straight down (you will see on the right a white and gold-coloured Stupa of Makut Kiriwan Temple which overlooks our house) and then goes up. The road is now relatively flat then goes down and up a little bit. Here you will see a big house on the right. Just after the house, please turn right, leaving the main road (about 12 km form Klong Din Dam village) to enter a small road. Here, there is a board on which the name Suan V.P. is written as well as a tiny orange plastic board where we put the name of our place (unfortunately in Thai). You could also notice a water tower, ‘Coffee Mania’ written up there, and a white 'cowboy' fence. Only the first part (400 m.) of this small road is paved. About 1 km from the entrance you will see a lone tree on you left and an electric post on your right (and another tiny orange plastic board on it). Turn right and you will soon see our rust-coloured house with a brown roof.
